Here we demonstrate, with a small and non-scientific data set, the transformation of multiple data sources into the required upload template.

Our Task
ZORIDA Data Set
We need to:
1. Collate data from a variety of sources.
2. Ensure the appropriate data quality standards are met.
3. Present the data in a specific format to upload to the target system.
Animals
Jane provides data about Animals.
Her focus is animals that reside in a National Park in Australia, South Africa and Uganda.
Countries
Matt provides data about Countries.
The task starts with Australia, South Africa and Uganda, but may later extend to other parts of Africa and Oceania.
Animals in Countries
Suzanne is the main gatekeeper of the data before it is uploaded to the target database.
She decides on the combination of Animals in Countries that should be considered.
She also completes the Count data.
Animal Data Analysis
Suzanne, as the stakeholder of the target database, has requested that the upload format appear as specified.
The data has to meet data governance standards, that are signed off by her, before it is uploaded.
THE NAME ZORIDA
What is in a Name?
ZORI is something I am PASSIONATE about.
So is Data Analysis (DA).
And so we have the business name ZORIDA!

Ruwenzori & Mountain Gorillas
ZORI is an abbreviation of RuwenZORI - a spectacular mountain range bordering Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo and close to those magnificent mountain gorillas in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
ZORI => Passion
I was accepted on an expedition to hike & climb Ruwenzori whilst I worked at Camp & Climb in South Africa.
When that job came to an end - in favour of a more profitable job lecturing Applied Business Statistics at Damelin College (I know - what a switch!) - so did the offer of the expedition.
Whilst there might have been some disappointment, the funds that I had carefully saved for the expedition financed my "new" car - a 1968 VW Beetle ... called ZORI!
From then on most things in life I am passionate about are called ZORI!
